Novibet partners with Citizen to make gaming transactions safer and faster

By OpenBankingExpo | 9 February 2022

Leading online betting company Novibet has teamed up with fintech company Citizen to make gaming transactions safer, faster and effortless.

This partnership will guarantee instant account-to-account (A2A) deposits and withdrawals in addition to simple payment journeys that adapt to the customer’s device, as well as a highly secure environment for players to move funds.

“There are many key elements necessary to shape a smooth and entertaining online gaming experience,” said Giannis Kapidani, Payments, Fraud & Risk Director at Novibet. “Removing friction from payment journeys is definitely top priority. With Citizen on our side, we are in the best hands in order to jointly ensure the ease and safety for the thousands of electronic transactions we accommodate every month.”

Through Citizen’s payment services, based on Open Banking technology, Novibet’s customers will be engaged at all stages, from signing up, to paying and playing, in the most secure and uncomplicated way.

Citizen’s CEO James Neville commented, “We’re delighted to be offering Citizen’s cardless payment technology to Novibet and its users – providing them with increased options to manage their funds with ease and confidence. Our PayBlox platform is highly configurable and ideally suited to businesses that need to shape the technology to their needs. As Novibet’s product offering is constantly evolving in response to new market demands, we’re partnering up at a perfect time.”

Citizen’s PayBlox platform comprises a purpose-built online toolkit that gaming operators and other merchants can deploy to optimise every stage of their payment processes.
