The Powerlist
Open Banking Expo Canada Powerlist 2026
Open Banking Expo is proud to unveil the Powerlist 2026.
The Powerlist honours senior leaders, innovators and policymakers whose work over the past 12 to 18 months has helped move Canada closer to a functioning, consumer-driven Open Finance framework. From banks and credit unions to fintechs, regulators and infrastructure providers, those named are shaping outcomes, influencing policy and delivering tangible change.
The Powerlist 2026 was revealed live on stage at Open Banking Expo Canada on March 5 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, in front of 600+ industry leaders gathered to shape the future of financial services.
The inaugural Andrew Moor Award
This year also marked the introduction of the Andrew Moor Award, created in honour of Andrew Moor’s exceptional contribution to advancing Open Banking in Canada.
The Award recognises one individual whose leadership has helped move the ecosystem from discussion to delivery. The inaugural recipient was Neela Maharaj, Director, Digital Product & Strategy, Open Banking & APIs at RBC, recognised for her role in shaping Canada’s emerging legislative framework and delivering Open Banking infrastructure at production scale.
